從岡波巴少的會院我們去勃拉道拉杉拉，我們在本堂神父處作客，他剛剛修好教堂的屋頂。
有一天書沒有了，我們必須等中午的郵包。我們要求神父讓我們徹底打掃聖堂，因為由於修理屋頂還有石灰和塵土。神父許可我們，我們就關上聖堂，把祭台上的花瓶、蠟燭台、台布取下，清理祭台，然後聖堂及祭台間。我們清除出三堆垃圾，管更衣所的先生用小推車把它推出去。中午書到時，我們也結束了。下午我們再去訪問家庭，然後回到聖堂參加晚上的禮儀。當教友們進了聖堂看到那麼整潔，都很驚訝，以感激與和善的眼光看我們，知道是我們出力整理的。
第二天我們在家庭推銷書本時，大家都歡迎我們，婦女們不斷地感謝我們。
清理聖堂也間接有助於我們的使徒工作。最高興的當然是本堂神父。

另一個鄉村，本堂沒有女傭，當我們到達時，他說抱歉無法接待我們，因為他只一個人。我們不以為然，表示那天我們可以作「女傭」，假如他許可。
他就答應了。看到他的房子亂七八糟，我們就開始打掃、清潔、整理，此時神父就出去辦事。當他回來看到房子弄得很乾淨，午飯也都準備好了。神父眼中流露出笑意，但他不高興我們很快要走。

一九三二年我在波登沙會院；我們住在老的主教府，四面臨風也很危險。
我與一個望會生被派到阿維里諾教區去福傳，帶了五包書，很少的錢。那是我第一次福傳旅程。
為到目的地我們必須坐火車到一個車站再換兩次汽車。在波登沙車站買票我少一塊里拉，我以哀求眼光看別人，一位先生也許可憐我，給了我一塊里拉。我從口袋裡找到一個小十字架，為表示感激我給了他，他也謝我。
這樣我們才能上車。可是搭汽車的錢在那裡? 我們勇敢地打開一包書，開始向旅客推銷書和傳單，向他們說明我的困境。找到了人們的了解和同情。不久我們有了二十個里拉，那時我們就快下車了。
我們搭上了第一輛汽車，花了十八個里拉。下了這輛車，問題又來了，我們沒有搭第二部車的錢，不過車要在兩個小時以後才開。
於是我們再打開一包書，向附近的家庭推銷。我們收到了二十五個里拉，為第二部車我們花了二十一塊。
下了車，還有走五公里路。路上我已覺得不舒服，現在覺得難受，可是必須早點到達，我讓自己忘卻不舒服勇往邁進。到了目的地已經累得要命。好在本堂神父善待我們，要我們馬上休息。我們在耶個教區逗留了二十二天。
