贊助員是生活更聖善的人；是有熱枕，想救人靈的人；是在保祿大家庭裡，發現有一種新的工作，一個修會組織，一方面聖化自己，另一方面願意將耶穌基督和祂的道理，使用現代的工具，如：刊物、電影、廣播、電視，帶給世界。
所以，贊助員們了解保祿大家庭的宗旨……，了解現代的工具，為服務人類，為協助使徒工作，所具有的效能。
贊助員是一個與我們結合在一起的靈魂，是我們所應該愛的，是我們應該幫助得救的，是要協助我們的，務使耶穌的聖名，能傳到世界各地，並使福音順利廣傳，而為世人所接受，如同聖保祿所說的：「弟兄們！請為我們祈禱，好叫主的聖道，也像在你們那裡一樣，順利展開，並得到光榮。」（得後三1）
聖保祿會的贊助員，研究使徒保祿的活動和熱枕，喜歡讀他的行傳和書信，想到了這位使徒所受的重大辛勞，甚至於為了基督而捨棄自己的生命，就會稍稍放下自己，而環顧四周；如果他明事的話，他親眼所見的情形，就會大力推動他前進，經歷世界各國。我懇求你們為所有的人祈禱（弟前二 1）。
贊助員不但祈禱，也照著他自己的信念而行動。
我們需要贊助員。他們在我們身邊，願意效法保祿會修女和會士們的使徒工作，且願意積極地參加。這樣的人，在世界上可以找到很多。所以，我們應該運用智慧，設法使這樣的人分有我們使徒工作的功勞，因著他們而推展善行。
