賈卡鐸神父被會祖委任處理主徒修女會的批准問題，他熱切地吩咐主徒修女要務必順服遵從聖部的措施，也要感謝天主。對賈卡鐸神父來說，聖座批准主徒修女會是他生前最後的一件大喜事。這是由於他的虔敬，使他對主徒修女重視及喜愛敬拜聖體、從事禮儀的使徒工作、在靜默中為司鐸犧牲自己，他自己也甘願能為她們被教會批准而奉獻生命。他不顧自己的膽怯生性，高興地接受會祖給的艱鉅任務、忍受不同意見的侮辱及強烈的反對，他為了維護所負責的大事，準備面對一切的困苦艱難及恥辱而感謝天主。1947年4月3日主徒修女會被承認，他從內心深處感謝天主所賜的洪恩。
1948年1月12日的上午，教宗簽署主徒修女會的「讚美法令」，他願意獻上自己的祈禱，並與全體修女的祈禱合而為一，他聲音低微的奉獻了最後一台彌撒，禮畢後，仆倒在祭台上。有人將他抬回床上，從此再也沒有起身，直等到教宗批准的喜訊傳來，他心神安詳的念：現在你可以打發你的僕人走了。
賈卡鐸神父是在1月24日的午後去世的，那天是殉道者聖茂德的紀念日，是聖保祿的愛徒，他在發聖願時，也選擇這位聖人為他個人的主保。會祖在殯葬彌撒的講道辭中，稱述他忠於修會理想、讚揚他的信德，他真是一位導師！
在他的墓旁刻著遺言和理想：「耶穌，神聖的導師，祈願我的墳墓為一粒貞潔的種子，我的天堂會是澆灌它的雨露。」
